Hi, I’m Caitlin Mathias, the founder of Yellow Door Properties, where we specialize in bold, beautiful designs that bring every space to life. After over 6 years in real estate and working as a local investor, I discovered my true passion: transforming spaces into places where people love to live, work, and stay.

As a self-taught designer, I’ve always had a natural eye for design and the determination to learn and grow. My creative roots trace back to my time at Savannah Arts Academy, where I studied graphic design and filmmaking. Later, I earned a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of South Carolina, which honed my storytelling skills. While my journey began in real estate as a part-time admin, I quickly climbed the ranks to become a Director of Operations with a focus on client success. Along the way, I gained invaluable experience in sales, project coordination, and creating exceptional client experiences.

Now, I bring that same passion, creativity, and expertise to Yellow Door Properties, offering full interior design services for homes, businesses, and short-term rentals. Inspired by the vibrant charm of Savannah, I love crafting spaces that balance style and functionality, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

When I’m not designing, I love spending time with my family, including our two kiddos and our dogs, Grits and Pancakes. You can often find me crocheting, beaching it up at Tybee Island, or diving into a good DIY project.
